We're La Casa Maya and we're a local Mexican restaurant here in Ames, IA. We refuse to compromise on quality in our restaurant. That's why we source our fresh ingredients from local farmer markets and offer an extensive menu with vegetarian options, beef, chicken, seafood, and steak. We started this business after years of being in the restaurant industry to provide our community with delicious Mexican cuisine. We're looking forward to growing our business to continue to serve Ames and the surrounding areas. Food was really good. Pretty typical Mexican fare. Charro beans were particularly good. $3.50 margarita Wednesday margaritas were very good as well. Probably not my #1 mexican place but still very good and will definitely go back.

Locally owned and run. We have been eating here from the start! The staff know us so well they know exactly what we drink and bring to our table without asking. Delicious food!!

Excellent food and amazing atmosphere. A little pricey but well worth it. It feels really authentic and the staff is incredible. I had the chicken and steak fajitas and it was very good.

We love this place, food is always great but one of the waiters is a little lacking on service. Food today was cold, fajitas were way past any sizzle at all. Granted it was busy today but we watched tables order after us get food and drinks before us. We'll definitely be back, just hope for a different server.
Back today, wonderful service, food was perfect. Fajitas sizzled, everything was hot and food was the way it's supposed to be.
